Sari-sari store owners convene at WTC May 26-29

Sari-sari store owners,  canteen and restaurant operators and other micro entrepreneurs in Metro Manila and nearby provinces will meet at a sari-sari store convention to be held at the World Trade Center on May 26-29, featuring negosyo sessions and seminars, interactive gatherings, product samplings and give-aways, product exhibits, and a variety show.

Dubbed as the “Ang Tindahan ni Aling Puring” event, this year’s  gathering is organized yearly by one of the biggest supermarkets in the country, Puregold and will brandish the theme “SIKAP – sari-sari store, itaguyod kasama ang Puregold.

Motivational speakers have been invited to deliver pep talks to the small entrepreneurs to orient them towards an asenso or growth mode.   Francis Kong will urge the small businessmen “to be the best that you can be.”  Francisco Colayco will talk on personal investing.  Chinkee Tan will tackle the issue of good credit in business.  Lloyd Luna will speak about secrets to a successful micro-business venture.

Experts from multinationals Nestle, Unilever, Kraft Foods, Procter & Gamble, and Colgate-Palmolive will be at hand to give business tips, while over a hundred suppliers will display products in 350 booths at the exhibition area.  Special booths will be reserved for overseas Filipino workers who may wish to put up a small-scale business.
