soap and perfumeA training program on soap and perfume production will be conducted by Golden Treasure Skills and Development Center  at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City on January 18 at 10 a.m.

The program will cover the how-tos of making liquid dish wash, liquid hand wash, liquid all purpose cleaner, bar detergent and powder soaps, dish washing paste, herbal soaps (papaya, oatmeal and kalamansi), glycerine (transparent) bath soaps, liquid bleach, fabric softeners, and liquid detergents.

Participants will also learn how to make household products like  tile and bowl cleaners, glass cleaners, air-fresheners; and body care products like body scrubs, foot spa soaps, foot sprays and powder shampoos, hand and body lotions, and hand sanitizers.

Sourcing of materials for production, costing and marketing aspects will also be taken up.

These household and body care products are highly consumable and  enjoy a huge potential market, both locally and abroad.  The items  can be sold in one’s own shop, a cart in a mall, in one’s own home, in an online store, or at fairs, bazaars and home parties.

Fred Reyes, chemist and owner of Chemworld Fragrance Factory, estimates that it is possible to start a fragrance business for as low as P10,000.

Those interested to participate in the training  are advised to log on to www.GoldenTreasureSkills.com or call Tel. 9136551, 4211577, 4367826 and 0905 2050110.
