Cake and bread-making course to be held at UP Diliman

A  training program on  baking breads, cakes and pastries will be conducted by Golden Treasures Skills and Development Program on Saturday, April 5 at the University of the Philippines College of Social Work and Community Development  (UP CSWCD), Diliman Campus, Quezon City.

The seminar will feature demonstration and hands-on sessions on how to make a wide variety of cakes, breads and other baked products.

These include chocolate cake, apple pie, butterscotch bars, buko pie, chocolate chiffon cake, butter  cookies, taisan bread, éclair, taisan cake,  chiffon cake, butter cake, mocha cake, custard cake, brazo de Mercedes, egg pie, carrot cake, sans rival, egg tart, fruit tart, floss bread, pandesal , hotdog and burger buns, cheese bread, dinner roll, empanada, cinnamon roll, monay, tasty loaf, pizza bread, blueberry and New York cheese cake.

There will also be sessions on basic cake decoration, cupcake frosting, and fondant making.

Aside from baking how-tos, sourcing of materials for a bakeshop venture, costing, and guidelines on how to start a baking business will also be discussed during the seminar.
