Last call for participants: National Symposium on ASEAN integration

aseanSmall and medium enterprises desiring to prep up for the ASEAN integration in 2015 are urged to attend the National Symposium Workshop on Empowering People & Organizations in the Workplace for Excellent Results (E-Power).

Organized by the UP Institute for Small-Scale Industries (UP ISSI), with the Small Enterprises Research and Development Foundation (SERDEF) and the Quality Partners Company, Ltd. (QPCL), the forum will be held on April 10-11 at the ISSI building, UP Campus, Diliman, Quezon City.

Day 1 of the symposium-workshop will focus on the implementation of AFTA 2015, its impact on the Philippine SMEs, the expected intensification of competition within the region, and the overall problems and prospects of the integration for the country’s economy.

Day 2 will feature learning activities, notably “how-to’s” for successfully meeting challenges and ensuring competitiveness of local SMEs in the regional market. Group workshops will guide entrepreneurs and managers in identifying and formulating action plans to strengthen their organizations and improve the quality of their products and processes in order to be more competitive.
