WTETG aims to enhance the proficiency of teachers handling entrepreneurship subjects at the college level so that entrepreneurship education may become a more effective catalyst to new enterprise creation.

In her presentation, Professor Gatchalian stressed that entrepreneurship requires behavioral and attitudinal transformation in students, a transformation that will not take place unless such change also occurs among teachers.  In other words, it is only enterprising teachers who can motivate, facilitate and inculcate enterprising qualities among learners.

Windows to Entrepreneurship was launched in November last year.

The research colloquium was organized by the UP ISSI to commemorate the 45th anniversary of its inception as an organic unit of the University of the Philippines System.  Before such inception, the UP ISSI was a three-year special project between the Philippine and Netherlands Governments, whose pioneer Filipino and Dutch staff worked for the passage of the law that permanently attached it to the UPS.
