A financial grants program for small enterprises adversely affected by the COVID 19 pandemic was recently announced by Facebook.
The program will make available grants totaling US $100million to 30,000 small businesses in over 30 countries, or about US$ 33.3 thousand per company,.
The money can be used to help businesses de frayrental and operational costs, meet payroll commitments, and connect with customers. The program may also be used to assist companies to shift their business online.
Small businesses that have been operating for at least a year can apply for the grants online.
Facebook is getting ready to receive and process applications over the coming weeks.
