SERDEF to hold general assembly, mark 35th year

On May 13, 2011, the Small Enterprises Research and Development Foundation will hold its annual general membership meeting and election of new officers and members of its board of trustees at the 3rd floor of Virata Hall, UP Institute for Small-Scale Industries, Diliman, Quezon City.

The occasion will also mark the Foundation’s 35th year of service to SMEs and SMEdevelopment workers and its alliance with the UP ISSI.  Commemorating its 35th will also  be  an opportunity for its members, officers and staff to renew its commitment to its mission and objectives.

At the meeting, President Paterno V. Viloria is expected to present an accomplishment report for the year 2010 to the general membership of the Foundation. Treasurer Editha A. Reyes will report on its financial status. The election of six new members of the board of trustees will follow, and from there, the election of a new set of officers for the year 2011-2012 by the new board of trustees.

The priority activities and programs, as identified during the strategic planning workshop held last January, will also be presented to the general membership.  (See news story on the workshop highlights).

The event will also be a venue for the launch of the Foundation’s new ezine and website aimed to promote SERDEF’s objective to be a resource hub to micro, small and medium entrepreneurs and development workers.
