SERDEF joins Global Entrepreneurship Week 2018

The Small Enterprises Research and Development Foundation (SERDEF) participated in the celebration of the Global Entrepreneurship Week in Miriam College in November 2018.

Various activities were organized Miriam College’s Department of Entrepreneurship under the College of Business Entrepreneurship and Accountancy (CBEA), together with the Society of Junior Entrepreneurs and YES Philippines. Prof. Maria Luisa B. Gatchalian, SERDEF Trustee, is the chairperson of the Department of Entrepreneurship.

For 2018, the theme was “Local is the New Global.” A major activity was the Global Policy Hack Forum held on November 14. SERDEF Trustee Prof. Melchor Morandarte was one of the discussants on Policy Issues and Concerns on Entrepreneurship Education and Related Professional Fields. The second part of the forum, meanwhile, focused on Policy Issues and Concerns from weaning to acceleration and sustainability in the 4th Industrial Revolution.

Other forum discussants were Dr. Sheryl Mae E. Ramos, Quezon City Polytechnic University; Prof. Marivic R.
