The three-day “Internet and Your Business” training program closed yesterday at 6 pm at the Executive Lounge of the UP Institute for Small-Scale Industries (UP ISSI) Building, with SERDEF Chairman Francisco R. Floro as closing speaker.

Mr. Floro congratulated the participants for their good work and urged them to relentlessly pursue the opportunities offered by new information technology for the improvement of their respective organizations.

Micaelita C. Almendral and Benedict L. Villafuerte delivered the response on behalf of the participants.

Dr. Eduardo Q. Canela, main resource person, underscored that the training would not end at its closing.     After-care counseling will be made available to the course participants on various aspects of their online marketing, promotional and related activities.

Prior to the closing ceremonies, the participants presented the results of their practicum — in the form of brand-new or improved websites for their respective companies — to a panel of evaluators.   The “best website” award was won by Maria Rachel Nicolette C. Lopez of the  Rusty Lopez Group of Companies.

The panel of evaluators was composed of SERDEF corporate secretary Dr. Paz H. Diaz, SERDEF trustee and technical adviser Serenidad F. Lavador, and Dr. Canela.
