Another “Training for Entrepreneurship Educators” or TREE program will be conducted by the Small Enterprises Research and Development Foundation (SERDEF) on November 17-18 at the Virata Hall, Institute for Small-Scale Industries, UP Diliman campus.

The TREE program is an entrepreneurship faculty development workshop endorsed by the Commission on Higher Education.

TREE addresses the need for continuing education among entrepreneurship faculty in both secondary and collegiate levels, in the light of new teaching technologies and changes in the development landscape.

The program is also useful to entrepreneurship trainers in non-formal education settings.

Many of the speakers will be experienced lecturers who are themselves practicing entrepreneurs, and thus are expected to teach from the wealth of their business experiences.

During the second-day workshop, participants will be given guidance in preparing their respective entrepreneurship course plans in the context of how old their students are, where they are in the development ladder, where the learning is taking place, and other factors.

The workshop will be handled by Dr. Paz H. Diaz, SERDEF board secretary, who co-wrote the books “Windows to Entrepreneurship: a teaching guide” and “Entrepreneurship Study and Practice.”   Copies of both books will be included in the training kit for TREE participants.

Interested teachers and trainers may register for TREE by getting in touch with Ms. Catherine Altares Ruflo at Tel. 355 5348 and 355 5529 or email [email protected].
