For entrep teachers: TREE program opens July 23

The Training for Entrepreneurship Educators (TREE) workshop. a continuing education program for entrepreneurship teachers, will be held on July 23-26 at the SERDEF offices at the Virata Hall, UP Diliman Campus, Quezon City.

The program is designed to address the need for upgrading knowledge in entrepreneurship and develop competency in imparting such knowledge in the classroom.

Target participants are entrepreneurship faculty in the college and high school levels and trainers in government and non-government organizations conducting non-formal courses in small business management.

Now on its tenth run, the TREE program has been endorsed by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

The program combines lectures and discussions with in-depth supervised learning experiences that provide opportunities to apply and practice entrepreneurship concepts and principles.

The program features resource persons who teach as well as practice entrepreneurship, such as Prof. Melchor Morandarte (who owns Sir Mong’s Food Products), Dr. Victoria Jardiolin Bello (Natasha and Confetti), Ms. Angelita Resurreccion (Passion for Perfection) and Mr. Pacito Madrono (13PM Enterprises/Eureka Games).

Professor Melchor Morandarte of Malayan Colleges Laguna and Sir Mong Food Products will be among the resource persons in the forthcoming TREE program.

Overseeing the program are Dr. Paz H. Diaz, TREE program director and Ms. Clarita O. Esteban, SERDEF training officer.
